SuperLotto Winners Spread Across Norway
The SuperLotto raffle was held on Sankthansaften, a religious feast day celebrating the birth of John the Baptist. Norway Lotto ticket holders are automatically entered into the supplementary SuperLotto draw at no extra cost, and Norsk Tipping were able to successfully contact all but two of the winners to let them know of their seven-figure prize. A man in his 20s from the Troms region and a woman in her 80s from Vestfold are still waiting to be informed.
The winners are spread across the counties of Finnmark, Nordland, Sogn Og Fjordane, Hordaland, Akershus, Vest-Agder, Buskerud, Østfold, Møre and Romsdal, Oslo, Rogaland, Vestfold, Trøndelag and Troms.
One of the millionaire winners, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I'm both happy and trembling. I have hoped for this phone call for a long time. This will be a nice Sankthans night”. Another winner said: “This is absolutely amazing. Now it will be a nice holiday this summer. But I have too much else I want to spend the money on.”
Further Success In Lotto
There were also millionaires crowned in the main Norway Lotto draw on Saturday night, as the 16 million kr jackpot was split between three ticket holders from Arendal, Søndre Land, and Larvik. The players matched the winning numbers 3, 9, 13, 14, 21, 22 and 33 on Saturday 23rd June, each receiving a 5.3 million kr (€559,360) split of the eight-figure windfall. There were 387,412 Lotto winners on the night, many of whom would have hoped for further success in the supplementary SuperLotto draw.
Norwegian Winners In Vikinglotto and Joker
The Vikinglotto jackpot rolled over last Wednesday after the jackpot wasn't won. The winning numbers on 20th June were 8, 20, 27, 28, 42 and 47, plus Viking Ball 7 and Plus Ball 20. Although there weren’t any jackpot winners or Norwegian winners in the top two prize tiers, 24 ticket holders from Norway did match five numbers and the Viking Ball to take home 53,435 kr (€5,642) each. Elsewhere, there were two Match 6 winners – one apiece from Estonia and Finland – who each took home just over €128,000.
A ticket holder from Lørenskog, Akershus, was drawn as the Joker candidate winner in the additional Joker draw. The lucky woman’s numbers were 2, 3, 3, 5 and 7, winning 2.2 million kr (€232,187). She wishes to remain anonymous, but said she plans to spend some of her winnings on the children and grandchildren, as well as travelling to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.
