Two Tickets belong to a Married Couple
The married couple from the coastal town of Moss, Norway, picked the same line of numbers at different locations based on their dates of birth and the birth dates of their children and grandchildren. The woman picked her line using her husband’s player card at a Spar store in Vålerveien four days before the draw, and the man followed suit at the Amfi shopping mall on the day of the draw using the same player card.
They have been picking the same numbers for years, and the winning line contained six numbers between 1 and 30, all representative of certain dates. The duo have decided to remain anonymous following their big win and were said to be shocked when they discovered the size of their winnings, which will be paid into their player card account.
Third Winner was Watching Chess
The third big Norwegian winner on the night, unrelated to the married couple, was an Oslo resident. He was watching his fellow countryman Magnus Carlsen retain his World Championship Chess title when he received a call from Norsk Tipping, Norway’s official lottery operator, informing him of his Match 6 win.
He said he then went straight to the shop to check his coupon, and was shocked when he knew his win was confirmed. The winner of the multi-million prize added he would drink some champagne to toast his victory.
After the jackpot wasn’t won, the top prize has now rolled over to €7.4 million ahead of the draw on Wednesday 5th December. Pick your numbers now to be in with a chance of winning, and you could become one of the lottery’s biggest winners of all time by matching all seven numbers. Good luck!
