A woman from Akershus in Norway has been stunned by the news that she is now 72 million kr (€7.4 million) richer after matching the full winning line in Wednesday’s Vikinglotto draw. The lucky lady is still getting her head around what has happened but is looking forward to sharing the money with loved ones.
Vikinglotto is a multi-national lottery played in nine different countries across Europe. Draws take place every Wednesday at 20:00 CET in Hamar, Norway. Jackpots start at €3 million and can rise to €35 million, with various other prizes available in each draw.
To play, select six numbers from 1 to 48 and one Viking number from 1 to 8. You win prizes by matching your chosen numbers with those drawn, with the jackpot awarded to players who match all seven.
